Owl Logo

I am working on a logo to use as a "chop mark" in my new "Elegance" series and am looking for honest critical feedback.

The "Elegance" series consists of a black 16 x 20 frame with a black mat. It has a bottom weighted opening and features a single black leaf within the opening. The leaf floats over the background on a second layer of glass. When lit directly you get a shadow play directly behind the leaf which adds another intriuging visual element.

I may also add the mark to the Black and White shadow box series.

It is a common Asian aesthetic to utilize "chop marks" in lieu of signatures, most often in red ink.

Historical info on the use of Chop marks

The owl has been a family symbol for as long as I can remember. My sister designed an owl mark and still utilizes the mark today. I had always admired it and want to include a stylized mark for my work.

Tell me what you think.

Do you like the idea of adding the owl chop mark to the elegance series?
